I had time today to come up with a digital coloring tutorial. How this helps out those you who long for a coloring tips. This tutorial is mainly for Photoshop.

Comic 47's Layout

Drawing in Perspective

If you've been to my website you've seen my latest comic. Well, I've missed an update because I wasn't satisfied with my coloring. Good news is, I almost am. I'm loving the 5th panel because, I drew in perspective. I'm going to try to do more work in perspective. It just makes everything look way cool.

Just Sketching

I checked out Stephen Silver's blog a couple of days ago, and lastnight, it led me to sketch out a few of his character designs. If you're a fan of Stephen, you can tell which characters are his. As for the others, I made them up.

Guest Comics

Time for an update. I apologize for the MIA.

I want to get my name and comic out there more by creating guest comics. I have a few people in mind, but since I'm not their friend, I'm thinking that it's possible that they will just see my guest comic as "fanart." I'm sure that the famous comics on the web got their break by making comics for another famous webcomic cartoonist. So not only would I be helping the artist out, they would be doing the same for me.

Guest comics truly come in handy when a Cartoonist is having a hectic day, week, month, etc. Knowing that there's people out there who are generous and supportive means the world.

Last year, the creator of The PC Weenies, Krishna Sadasivam, was looking for artists to help him out for a week. When I got the news, I quickly thought of something, emailed Krishna, he loved it, and soon before I knew it, my very first guest comic was on his site. Check it out below.

Krishna is a cool fella, and I wouldn't mind helping him out once again.

I'm also a fan of Bleedman (who isn't?). If you ever check out his comics and Deviant Art page, you can see that this dude is incredibly talent and popular. I love Grim Tales Down Below that I HAD to do fanart. I'm not crazy about fanart, but if I love what an artist does, I do my best to show them that I'm supportive. Check out the picture below.

Stuff Sucks Sketchbook

My friend Roy surprised me with Liz Greenfield's Stuff Sucks: Behind The Scenes Sketchbook. Out of all the webcomic merchandise I've seen, Liz is the most unique. From her Ipod Skins to the Sketchbook. The girl is unbelieveably creative.

The Sketchbook contains scripts, pics, and sketches. It also came along with 2 refridgerator magnets and a info card about the comic. Pretty neat if you ask me.

By the time that I was done with the book, I was indeed inspired. As I was about to close it, I noticed a short note that Liz wrote me.

Pretty sweet, huh? Thanks for the gift, Roy!
